Training: Public advocacy in the Zoom era

Learn how to be an effective advocate during a time of virtual meetings and social distancing!

We may be mostly stuck at home, but we still have pressing issues that we need to present to decision makers; bills to be passed; neighbors and colleagues to organize with. But the techniques on how to do this during a pandemic are a bit different.

How do we build power and grow our communities to advocate with us at this time? What does a meeting with a legislator look like from our homes over the computer?

Activist, organizer, strategist and expert trainer Don Washington will lead a two-part series for us on how to engage in the public arena from a Zoom screen! The first session will be Sunday March 14th, from 1-4pm. The second session will be in April.

We are offering this training pro gratis, but please consider making a donation to help us defray our costs.
