Last month, assessment giant Pearson began notifying 13,000 schools and universities of a massive data breach involving their AIMSweb product.
We now know that at least ten Illinois school districts including tens of thousands of IL students data were affected by this breach. (We're keeping a running list of reports here.)
Meanwhile, tomorrow morning (Wed. 8/14) the IL State Board of Education (ISBE) is set to vote on another $22 million contract for Pearson for another year of the IL Assessment of Readiness (formerly known as PARCC).
Shouldn't details on the full extent and impact of this breach be provided to IL parents and taxpayers before ISBE votes on yet another payout to Pearson?
