Springfield news: 2 bills move forward, still looking for sponsors

Good news! Two of the bills we are working on passed out of committee in the IL House on Tuesday, April 10th. Here's what you can do next!

Thanks to those of you who made calls and filled out witness slips, and thanks to Blocks Together for working on the CPS facilities bill, HB5721!

Please check to see if your state rep is a co-sponsor of these bills, and if they are not on the list, call them this week and ask them to co-sponsor these bills. It’s a very simple phone call: “Hi, I’m a constituent of Rep_____. I’m calling to ask them to co-sponsor HB5481 and HB5721.
